Happy Birthday PEPS Babies

Jasper's baby friends celebrated their birthdays together at the Children's Museum today. I'm just amazed that a year has already flown by. Our baby friends are all getting so big, learning to walk, starting to say words, and revealing their personalities day by day. It has been so much fun to get to know them all and watch them grow.

And I love all these high achieving moms! Seriously, I have learned so much from them and love it that we can come to a birthday party and be blown away by all the effort and enthusiasm the other moms have poured into it. You would never believe that any of them are "first time moms". I am truly amazed by how confident, wise, sure-footed, and unflappable they all are. It has been a year of shared ideas, creative problem solving, friendship, generousity, and fun adventures.

What a fun party it was with handmade felt crowns, gifts, treats, birthday cards, prizes, etc. Big Brother Will was in attendance and he is well versed on the notion that mom's meetings mean treats galore. He ate not just one vegan donut, but two vegan doughnuts!

I made these Maple sweetened cupcakes with organic apricot compote and maple butter frosting for the babies. The adults had Mighty O donuts!

All the moms voted for the babies: Future Iron Chef, Future Olympian, Future President of the USA, First to Climb Everest, Class Clown, Most Fashionable, etc.
Will took this photo. It is hilarious because he is just a little guy who couldn't see over the bags and presents on the table! A couple moms didn't make the shot! There are ten moms in our playgroup all with babies born in either April or May.
