I've been rushing around the past few days trying to pull together these teacher gifts. Seriously, I didn't realize how soon it was holiday break! I thought there were a couple of weeks left but it all snuck up so fast!
So I knit them each a hat and then we made personal fabric bags. The front side has their names embroidered on by Will and the backside is the vintage peppermint pattern. We also made some Iced Meyer Lemon Cookies this afternoon too. They are buttery and lemony but next year I think I'll stick with something chocolatey like fudge or peppermint bark.
This afternoon I asked Will if he wanted to help me make the cookies for his teachers and he said, "Mom, I've been working hard all day. I need to unwind and make a giant fort out of blankets." Guess it was up to me to do the cookies then!

You are in the same group with all of those crafty moms whose blogs I read. Guess what I'm not in that group...I can hardly make cookies. Oh well...tell me my child will still grow up and be art-minded. Maybe or maybe not....but, your children will. You are the best, dear nif.
