Hit and Run

Here is Will watching our car getting towed away-- on a dolly because the back wheels were off kilter.

The night before Parent Teacher Conferences someone hit our car as they were leaving the bar near our house. We heard the loud crash at 2am and then the squealing of tires as they sped away. About twenty minutes later the police knocked on our door to let us know that they followed the oil leak and caught the guy trying to make a getaway. If you look closely you can see that he hit us hard enough to knock the car up onto the sidewalk. Paul was saying that had our car not been there he might have driven right into our bedroom!

It looks to us like the entire backend of the car is going to need to be replaced at least superficially, I'm not sure what the internal damage is. I suspect that since there wasn't a hit to our engine that the insurance company won't declare it a total loss. It looks to us like an expensive fix though!
