The Spatula

Will is a kid who never seemed to need any transitional object or security object such as the pacifier, blanket, or stuffed animal until he discovered the spatula. At our house we have about five or six different kinds of spatulas in different shapes, colors and sizes. As soon as Will was mobile enough to make his own choices, he chose the spatula and carried it around as one would their favorite "blankie". He sleeps with his spatula. He rides in the car with his spatula. He walks around town with his spatula uncaring about the strange looks or comments we hear from afar, "Hey, gonna flip some pancakes!"
