Grandma Seegert

Bon Voyage!

Will is heading off on his "special trip" today. We won't see him for an entire week as he embarks on the biggest adventure yet on cruise to Alaska with grandparents.

You can see Jim and Judy standing out there on the deck just above the lifeboat.

Let's Go to the Beach

Will's grandparents are in town to meet their tenth grandchild and take Will on a "special trip". Here we are on a trip of our own to the beach on a beautiful summer afternoon.

We can't all fit in our Volkswagen so Paul and Will took the bike...

Notice Me!

Here is Jasper watching his brother and trying desperately to get him to notice him. Finally he lunges forward and tries to get in on the action.

Guess Who?

This is the special outfit from grandma and both boys at around the same age...

One of Will's oldest and dearest friends turned six this week and celebrated it with a fun pool party. They actually had gluten free pizza and Baskin Robbins ice cream cake!

Things I Love

These modern conveniences have made my life with arthritis and baby so much more manageable:

1. Blessed Nest Nursing Pillow: My friend Kim told me about this organic buckwheat filled pillow for baby and I love it. Jasper can be easily molded into a comfy position on my lap for nursing but just adjusting the buckwheat in the pillow. I'll never need a Boppy again!

2. Moses Basket Stand: At least right now this has really helped me through many an arthritic night. Not sure what we'll do when he transitions to the floor bed and I have to get up and down from the floor!

3. Ergo Baby Carrier: I have a very big boy here and the Moby Wrap just wasn't working out because he weighs it down so much. Switching to this soft frame pack has made life a lot easier and I love the Sienna Sunset color!

4. Kimono Style Clothes: I really appreciate the ease of dressing Jasper with the kimono style shirts and onesie's (when my hands are working well enough to snap!). My local favorite is Kate Quinn Organics

5, Diaper Service: Thank you to Paul's co-workers who gave us this as a shower gift!

6. Onesie Extenders: Not necessarily a saving for my hands with all the snaps but it definitely extends the life of the onesie's and helps me stretch them over that big cloth diaper bum!

7. Hanna Andersson Clothing: On that note, I love these clothes because they are built generous in the bottom to help accommodate the big cloth diaper. So far I haven't found any other brand of clothing that works as well as these.
