Will and Cody

Will had a chance to play with my friend Kristin's son Cody while we were in Minnesota. It is so fun to get our kids together and do some catching up ourselves!

Stamping the Bench Cushion

A few days ago I noticed that Paul had a yin yang symbol stamped onto the back of his shirt. We were both intrigued that Will stamped his dad's shirt when he wasn't looking and had high hopes that this was a one time deal. I looked around for the stamp so that I could put it away somewhere but couldn't find it and then forgot about it until...

This morning I discovered another yin yang stamp on his beautiful new fabric bench cushion at the foot of his bed. I made a fuss about it and we all worked to clean it off. Paul told Will that he doesn't think he is ready for stamps and he took Will's stamp "until he is six". After about twenty minutes Will came up to me and said something about being sorry. I asked him what he was sorry for and he told me that he was sorry that his dad took away the stamp. I asked him if he wished that he had not stamped the bench cushion. He thought for a moment and shrugged saying, "No, I wanted to stamp the bench cushion. I wanted that yin yang on my bench cushion. You know, when I'm six and dad gives me back the stamp I'm going to stamp the bench cushion again. I think it looks good."

Yep, this is what we deal with.
